Our Impact

Human services workers are increasingly being respected and recognized as professionals in the field. Human services workers, agencies, schools and government bodies are utilizing the association, which is an important step in advancing and promoting this profession.

Human Services Profession is an occupation dedicated to meet human [client] needs through various humane interventions, such as counselling, facilitation, coordination of care, assessments and other supports. The ultimate goal of the profession is to support individuals, groups and communities to live an optimum life and achieve their goals.

Recent Events and Activities

Most of the human services professionals primarily work with people [clients] at a micro level, as support workers, caseworkers, community workers and group organizers.  

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional territories of the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit in Alberta, and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta. We pledge to; combat racism, promote social justice, and collaborate with Indigenous peoples in our work.
